Eight ONE Lab Graduation Project teams rock on their defense day with Excellent Grades

On Wednesday July 10, 2019, ONE Lab Graduation Project students have presented their work in front of a judging committee from Academia (Dr. Ahmed Madian, Nile University; Dr. Mohamed Elshenawy, Zewail City; and Dr. Samah Elshafeay, Cairo University) and Industry (Mentor Graphics, Si-Vision, Si-Ware Systems, and Valeo).

The first team has worked on “Building Synthesizable Model And Verification Environment For AXI4-Stream FIFO” which is sponsored by Mentor Graphics and the team members are Ahmed Mohamed Yassien, Arwa Abd Elaziz, Aya Mahmoud, Salma Khaled, Shadwa Mohsen, and Aly Essam.

The second team graduation project title is “Low Power Design of the Physical Layer Chain of Narrow Band LTE Uplink Receiver” which is sponsored by Si-Vision. The team members are Aya Adel Ismail, Karim Ahmed Alaa El-Kousy, Kareem Ahmed Farouk, Lina Eissa Hassan, Omar Mohamed Abdel-Kader, and Zeinab Adel Ibrahim.

The third and fourth teams has worked on the same project titled “Low Power BLE Transceiver” and the project has been divided between the two teams as the third team has designed the RF part whereas the fourth team has developed the PLL and the two teams members are Abdelrahman Ahmed Mohamed, Ahmed Asaad Elkafrawy, Ahmed Hassan El anwar Shaaban, Akram Moataz Mohamed Megawer, Aya Ashraf Ahmed Hussein, Saad Ahmed Saad, Yasmen Sabry Abd Elrahman, and Youssef Osama Mohamed.

Moving from Electronics design to Analog Layout Automation project which is sponsored by Si-Vision as well. The fifth team project title is “Automated Current Mirror Layout Tool (ACML)” and the team members are Abanoub Atef, Omar Mohammed, Omar Tarek, Mario Adel, Marina Hamdy, and Nada khaled.

Following our sponsors Mentor Graphics and Si-Vision, Si-Ware Systems has sponsored our sixth team this year with the co-supervision of Dr. Amr Hafez at Si-Ware Systems. The title of the project is “Design of an RF Energy Harvesting PMIC” and the team members are Ahmed Samy Ahmed Ghoniem, Aya Hazem Mohamed Mahmoud Ghobashy, and Sherihan Khaled Muhammed Nour Fahmi.

The seventh team has been sponsored by Valeo and works on “Sim-TO-Real Conditional End-to-End Self-Driving Vehicle Through Visual Perception”. The team members have shown a project demo with a real time autonomous RC car which has been appreciated by the Valeo team. This project has been co-supervised by Dr. Ibrahim Sobh, Valeo and Dr. Hossam Hassan, Ain Shams University and the team members are Abdelrahman Hussein ElGammal, Ahmed Sherif Salah, Amr Medhat Ibrahim, Fayrouz Yehia Zakaria, Mohamed Tarek Shaaban, and Nermeen Mohamed Elewa.

The last and eighth team which is also sponsored by Valeo worked at “Automotive Accident Detection” and with too much support from Eng. Mohamed Abdou, Valeo. The team has shown a wonderful video explaining and commercializing their idea with the talented team member Mohamed Eid. The team members are Rawan Mohamed, Zeinab Hosny Mohamed, Maha Hassan Mohamed, Mayada Zaki Mohamed, Mayada Essam Ali , and Mohamed Eid Ebrahiem.
