On Dec. 16, 2019, ONE Lab Graduation Project titled ”
Wireless Signal Identification Receiver ” won the best graduation project over all tracks in the IEEE International Conference on Microelectronics (ICM 2019) which is held in Cairo, Egypt.
The project is an example of the successful collaboration between International Industry represented by Seamless waves, Paris, France, and Academia represented by the Sorbonne University and ONE Lab at Cairo University and Zewail City of Science and Technology.
Recently, 5G wireless communication systems require portable devices capable of analyzing the spectrum congestion and establishing communication on the available frequency bands using the appropriate standards. Deep Learning is used, in this project, for RF signal identification and classification.
