On Oct. 20, 2021, ONE Lab team at Zewail City for Science and Technology and Cairo University; in collaboration with Mansoura University, Nile University, Ain Shams University, and German University in Cairo; and funded from the National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA); has an accepted paper at the Tech Science Press CMC (Computers, Materials & Continua) journal.
The paper title is “Radio Optical Network Simulation Tool (RONST)” which provides for the first time in the world a unified generic simulation platform for optical, radio/wireless, and network engineers. RONST Version 0.1 is ready and several potential customers are investigating getting RONST license in the near future.
The paper idea has been initiated by ONE Lab former Research Assistant, Mohamed Shehata (Currently at University of Adelaide), three years ago. The project has been fully funded by NTRA for a total fund of EGP 1.5 Million for 24 months. The project has been finally concluded, after Shehata travel, by the efforts of Yasmine Abdelhak, Fady Kamel, and Mostafa Hafez to provide RONST Version 0.1.
The experimental results and Paper publications have been conducted by the support of Dr. Hussein Kotb (Ain Shams Universiy), Dr. Haitham Omran (German University in Cairo), and Dr. Tawfik Ismail (Nile University / Cairo University).
