ONE Lab is announcing the GP 2020 for Cairo University students. If interested please apply by Aug. 10, 2019.
All projects with Si-Vision has been already settled by the company selection. Therefore, students selected by Si-Vision should not apply in this form.
Graduation Projects Proposals 2020
Project 1: UVM for Soft Processors (Sponsored by Mentor Graphics)
– With the increase of the hardware complexity and the size of the ASIC and SoC designs, the process of the verification of the design using the traditional testbenches becomes difficult. More than 70% of the time is spent by the verification engineers to verily the functionality of the designs which is the very time-consuming process, Thus, the need for developing hardware verification language arises in the last decades. The Universal Verification Methodology (UVM) gradually dominates the verification world, as it covers these needs. UVM is a powerful verification methodology that was designed to be able to verify a wide range of design sizes and design types. The aim of this project is to verify Soft processors using UVM.
-The outcome of this project is a working verified soft processor using UVM
-FPGA Programming, ISE, VHDL/VERILOG, MATLAB, CADENCE, CALIBRE, ASIC flow, and FPGA flow, UVM is a plus
Project 2: Block Chain Hardware Acceleration (Sponsored by IP Valley Inc.)
-This project includes the implementation of the hardware platform for the Block Chain using HW/SW co-design.
-The outcome of this project is a working FPGA prototype as well as an ASIC tape-out for fabrication.
-FPGA Programming, ISE, VHDL/VERILOG, MATLAB, CADENCE, CALIBRE
Project 3: Open Idea
-This project is open for new ideas proposed by the students or sponsored by a well-known company.
-The students will present their work and show how much they understand their idea to be accepted into ONE Lab.
- You can have a look at last year’s projects by going to the following link:
- If you are interested, please fill in this form before Aug. 10, 2019.
- If you want to submit in different projects, please use separate form for each project. Each group can apply for up to TWO projects.
Acceptance notifications will be sent out (after interviews) by Aug. 25, 2019.
GOOD LUCK
