On March 5 2020, ONE Lab has received a total fund of EGP 2.0 Million from the Science and Technology Development Fund (STDF) to work on the digital implementation of the Low Power 3GPP (Releases 14/15/16) NB-IoT Platform for Internet of Things Applications.
The fund will be received at Zewail City of Science and Technology with Dr. Hassan Mostafa, ONE Lab Director, as the project PI, and Dr. Mohamed Said, Assistant Professor at Nile University, as the project Co-PI.
The project targets the digital implementation of the NB-IoT standard on both FPGA and ASIC platforms. The project outcomes will be a prototype of a low power NB-IoT chip that can be easily integrated into an RF Platform.
