Project Executive Summary:

While museums have increasing methods to innovate, the spreading of information and communication technologies (ICTs) recently has received huge attention for their influence in this field, and the possibilities those tools offer to enhance innovative strategies. Those tools can help from internal procedures to exhibition design, and management, these functions played by ICTs for innovative activities and economic performance of museum organizations are giving museums the opportunity to achieve success and reach their goals in their projects.

As a result of the increasing numbers of technologies and smart devices that provide new perspectives for the multimedia interactive applications generally, and especially in the field of heritage conservation, this proposal presents a new typology of ICT usage in the museum technologies according to their characteristics, objective, and place. To affect the impression that visitors have about the relevance of ICTs in promoting innovation in unusual ways. Also, this proposal presents the need to establish a Human-Computer Interactive (HCI) storytelling supportive museum display, and Educational interactive gaming applications.

This proposal presents the need to build supportive tools for the smart and interactive museum exhibition display through the use of increasing ICT technology, in marketing and also in creating educational applications that allow museums to succeed in their mission and reach their both cultural and educational goals, which are held in a storytelling method that ensures their continuity and development according to the changes of the current time and technology, in a referenced historical content.

These new technological tools will help museums deliver their cultural products, services, values, and content to enhance the deepest experiences and the most successful participation of audiences, inside and outside of the museum walls, physically and virtually. Conclusively, these new technological tools will help museums to communicate their products, services, mission, values, and contents, to promote deeper experiences and a more successful engagement by audiences, within and beyond museum walls, and both physically and virtually.Project Team:
